Digital Self Defence- 7th March, from 7-9pm 

Online abuse can be one of the major barriers to women entering and remaining in politics. Join our Free Digital Self Defence workshop on 7th March, 2023 from 7-9pm to become more informed and learn ways to combat online abuse and keep yourself safe online. This workshop will be delivered by Glitch, an award-winning UK charity which is committed to ending online abuse and championing digital citizenship. Through training, research, workshops and community building, Glitch are building an online world that is safer for all. Equip yourself with the knowledge and a practical toolkit to help combat online gender abuse. Please note this workshop is now at full capacity but you can join a waiting list by registering your interest.

Selection Convention Bootcamp- 27th March from 7-9pm 

If you have decided you would like to run for a party and are ready to move to the next stage of the process in getting elected for 2024 then join this Free Selection Convention Bootcamp on Monday, 27th March from 7-9pm. Learn about making the right pitch to party members, rules around party conventions and how to make sure you get enough votes to be selected for the party ticket. This workshop will be delivered by Kathleen O’Meara, public affairs consultant, former journalist and politician and Mairead O’Shea, Communications Manager for See Her Elected, both selection convention veterans as participants, campaign managers, and press.

Media Masterclass with See Her Elected – topics include: ‘Being a Spokesperson, How to write an effective press release and Tips for Radio Interviews – this is a 2 hour workshop available online (Zoom) to female councillors, female local area representatives and members (fee applies for political parties).

Bespoke Introduction to Politics Course for Political Parties
Active Citizenship and Public Participation in Council Decision Making
Who does want in the Council and What is the job of a Councillor like?
This can be delivered online (Zoom) 1.5 hours per week over a two-week period (fee applies for political parties). The class will run from 8pm to 9.30pm.
