A Summer School series of workshops will run throughout July & August with a range of topics to help get you on track for #LocalElections2024

SHE listens to what you tell us about how you would like to expand your political knowledge.

SHE School Summer Series

As we are one year out from the Local Elections, we want to offer you the support and resources best suited to you.
We have listened and taken on board your feedback  and have now finalised our programme for the SHE School Summer Series with topics and subjects that matter to you including Resilience and Confidence Building, Organising your Campaign Finances and understanding SIPO, Staying Safe Online, Using the Headliner App to promote your radio interviews, basic graphic design with Canva plus lots more.

Using the Headliner App

Mairead O’Shea, SHE Communications Manager, will provide an insight into creating video from audio files and sharing them on social media to help promote your radio interviews.

Basic Graphic Design with Canva

Canva has become a key tool in political campaigning. Elaine Lynch from AILG will guide you through producing professional graphics.

Staying Safe Online

Kathleen Connolly, SHE Development Officer, drawing on her background in law and gender will explain how to protect yourself online.

Coaching – Confidence & Resilience

Kathyrn McGrath is an Accredited and Licenced WRAW (Workplace Resilience and Wellbeing) practitioner and will be delivering workshops on confidence and resilience for local election candidates.

First Option – Monday 10th and Monday 17th July, 7pm to 9pm

Second Option – Wednesday 16th and Wednesday 23rd August, 12pm to 2pm

🚩Numbers are limited for this workshop- Priority will be given to those attending the SHE workshops, a waiting list will be in operation🚩

Fundraising 

Cllr Emma Murphy will provide first hand experience and advice for fundraising for your campaign.

Election Poster Organisation 

Practical advice and insider tips on postering with Dr Michelle Maher, Programme Manager with See Her Elected.

Financing

Tommy Moylan, AILG Director,  will explain compliance with the requirements for election campaign donations and expenditure.
